Salwa Collection Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council x Eman AlRahma

Through a collaboration between Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council and Emirati designer Eman Al Rahma, research into the art of doll making in the region and its associated family entertainment has been translated into an inspiring and delightful collection of toys. These toys are inspired by traditional Emirati culture and homes, reflecting the enduring connection of these traditions to the folk heritage passed down through generations. The dolls› designs are inspired by the traditional style and appearance of the local craftswomen.

The collection includes two toys inspired by cultural heritage, a dollhouse, and wooden and cotton dolls that reflect the traditional style of Irthi's artisans.
